Craig Wilcox—VP of Operations

“Head Nerd”
“I'm an idea guy first and foremost. I see demand and figure out how to meet it with innovative solutions--from widgets all the way to the most advanced software technologies around.”
Craig has an entrepreneurial background as the founder of multiple non-profits and technology companies over the past 18 years. His work was first published online in 1993, which is just about the beginning of recorded history online. In 2003, he switched gears from software and services to focus on online marketing, developing and optimizing numerous sites and consulting with small and mid-size companies on pay-per-click and search engine optimization.
Most recently, he has worked on large-scale revenue optimization efforts and PPC campaigns for MapQuest/AOL and Microsoft respectively. At MapQuest/AOL, he was responsible for a $50+ million revenue line through Adsense and gained in-depth knowledge of Google’s Content and Search networks as one their largest publishing partners. At Microsoft, he managed a $50+ million annual pay-per-click budget to help Bing and MSN gain market share. PPC beat out all other forms of marketing, online and offline, in creating new and repeat users of Bing.
Craig has a highly analytical and ROI-based marketing approach, but he is also driven by ideas and creative approaches to meet emerging or unmet market demands. If it's been done online, you can bet he has seen it.
Craig lives in central Denver with his two young daughters, who seem to be growing up at "internet speed".
