Free Internet Marketing Tips – Website Magazine Findability Makeovers
Welcome to my column with Web Site Magazine. In the field of Internet Marketing, I constantly see websites made in the 90’s and early 2000’s that make me shudder. As the Author of The Findability Formula: The Easy, Non-Technical Approach to Search Engine Marketing, I have spent the last 10 years working with business owners and hearing their frustrations with poor search visibility. Design, usability, and what users and search engines expect from your website change on a daily basis – so if you haven’t touched that coding in 10 years, it might be time to dust off the keyboard and get to work.
If you are feeling a bit “out-of-touch” with what your site needs, i.e. if you think that a totally black background with white text cuts it, or if you think page 6 in search results is “good enough,” don’t despair, help is here!
Each issue I am going to be taking business websites and giving them “Findability” makeover recommendations that will increase their search engine presence with little or no cost in an economy where every penny counts. Even better, I’ll be giving readers the same easy, low-cost tactical suggestions I gave these businesses, so hopefully you can take some of these strategies to work on your own sites.
