Boost Your SEO Strategy with a Content Creation Machine
If any of you have ever seen me speak or have read my books, you will know that I am a huge implementation nerd. I love concepts and strategy. Therefore, I have created a process that can really help us to execute content in a way that’s meaningful and a way that’s really going to represent your brand in the best possible way.
In the world of digital marketing, your website’s organic traffic flow is essential to your business’s growth. The key to achieving this is through an effective SEO strategy that will drive your website to the top of search engine rankings. One of the most significant factors in SEO is content creation, and that’s where a content creation machine comes in.
In this blog I’m going to show you the process of a Content Creation Machine by which you can start with a keyword phrase and end up with a blog, a video and social media content. We’ll be taking a look at tools like SEMrush, Keywords Everywhere, Jasper.ai, Lumen5, Dumme and Canva. When using these tools, we’re not just hoping for the best, we’re going to make sure that we’re aligning our content for the very best chance for it to get ranked on Google. The combination of these tools streamline an effective and efficient way to create content that will boost your SEO strategy.
1. Keyword Research:
Keyword research is the foundation of any SEO strategy. If you don’t have the right keywords, your website will not be found by your target audience. You also have to make sure that the keywords you want to rank for, are actually keywords that are searched. You can rank #1 for a keyword that has zero search volume, which does not really benefit you. Using tools like Keywords Everywhere and SEMrush, you can find relevant keywords that your target audience is searching for.
Keywords Everywhere provides you with useful metrics such as search volume and competitor insight right on the Google search results. This simple chrome extension available in the Google Play store, is always on and searching for keywords even when you are not. It gives you simple and easy to read insights on keywords you are searching for. It also gives you an idea of how competitive the keyword is and which sites rank on Google for it.
SEMrush is perfect for analyzing your competitors’ keywords and finding new ones that you can include in your content. It gives you the search volume of each keyword and other keywords that are similar or related to the first keyword you provided. SEMrush allows you to really “spy” on your competitors as it provides really detailed reports that you can use to your advantage.
When exploring SEMrush, take a look at their SEO Content Template. I like to call this the “Blog Writing Cheat Sheet” as it provides exact word count, related keywords, backlinks, etc. that you should include in your blog for a better chance to get ranked on Google. In order to use this for your Content Creation Machine, copy all of this information and paste into an editable document. Then, search google for that keyword and grab a few questions under the “more questions” section.

2. Content Writing:
Writing quality content that resonates with your audience is crucial for SEO success. However, creating content can be time-consuming and frustrating. Fortunately, Jasper.ai is an AI writing assistant that can help you create long-form content quickly. Essentially, ChatGPT is the engine behind Japser.ai. There are many templates available on Jasper that can help you to get started on your blog post such as: blog post outline, blog post introduction paragraph, and blog post conclusion paragraph.
I would like to explain the “One Shot Blog Post” template which is what we use for the Content Creation Machine. When you’re in Jasper, you can give it 1,500 words on the blog topic, as well as edit the tone of voice you want the blog to be written in. Inside the blog topic, be sure to tell Jasper exactly what you want it to write. All of this information you will have from the SEO Content Template that you copied from SEMrush. What you have to do now is put it into a prompt. Example: “Write a blog with exactly 946 words on how to boost your SEO strategy using a content creation machine. The focus keyword phrase is ‘boost your SEO strategy’. Include these related keywords throughout the blog (insert here). Answer these questions (insert here).”
So, that’s a one shot blog post. I mean literally, you hit the button and generate your blog. Jasper is able to create a substantial outline of content where you’re baiting it with how many words to write, the kind of title you want, the keywords that it should include, and the questions it should be answering to show up in Google search. This is incredibly important for SEO that you follow the specific rules that are already established in order to rank on page one. By using the SEO Content Template and telling Jasper exactly what to write, you are following these exact rules and are on track to rank on page one.

3. Video Assets:
Videos are highly engaging and can help boost your SEO strategy. They are also another way to repurpose content, like the amazing blog post you have just written inside of Jasper. When it comes to video, just like anything else, there will always be good, better and best. You can just whip out your cell phone or go through a videographer. I have found that video is incredibly difficult for clients because it’s time consuming and too technical.
With Lumen5, we are able to create great videos that pull information right from your blog post. Lumen5 allows you to turn your blog posts into stunning videos with just your blog posts URL. This software uses AI to select relevant images and add them to your videos automatically. It also provides various templates that you can customize to create visually appealing videos. It has a very user friendly interface that allows anyone, with or without video experience to come in and customize their video to match their brand.
My favorite kind of video to create for SEO is called an explainer video. Here’s what you do: Start by choosing a template inside of Lumen5. I recommend choosing something simple and then going back to adjust. Then, copy and paste your blog’s post URL if you have already posted it on your website. If not, grab the content inside of Jasper. Then you hit generate and Lumen5 will start pulling all the content and turning it into video. It will begin picking animations, video clips and elements from the blog post. It’s really good about picking up cues such as how you have it organized, whether it’s concepts one through five and following the outline to match the blog and video.
You can go in and edit as much as you want until you’re happy with the result. Remember that the more guidance you give it, the more content the AI will give you back. This is just the structure of your content, you still have to go back in and give it your personal touch and your brand’s personality. If you want to take your video assets a step further, create a YouTube channel and post your video there and not just with the blog on your website. You can organize different playlists that match your website’s blog content.

4. Social Media:
Social media is an essential part of any SEO strategy. It’s where you can connect with your audience and promote your content. Repurposing content for social media allows you to expand the reach of your content in different ways. You can share the same target audience, but it is important to note that even though they share similar needs and interests, they all take in information in different ways. By expanding your content to social media, you are covering all your bases.
Canva is a great tool that you can use to create blog images and social media graphics. It also has a lot of other uses and has a very user-friendly interface. You can incorporate your brand’s fonts, logos, brand stamps, etc. to really personalize the graphics you create. There are also tons of templates that you can use to structure your social media strategy then personalize with your content.
Dumme is a social media video creation tool that allows you to create social media videos such as reels, stories, and shorts from your Lumen5 videos. It uses artificial intelligence to create social media video posts that match the look and feel of your Lumen5 video. This turns your long form video content into short form video content which is most popular on platforms like Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
Bonus* Another great tool for social media short form video is CapCut. It’s an app that houses tons of trending video templates. It’s best to use for TikTok as they are partners but can still be used and repurposed to post on other platforms.
The final step to the content creation machine is social media, so to do this you’ll want to do the following:
- Start an editable document with three columns: date, graphic/video and caption.
- Plan for the month ahead. Set your overall theme for the month, identify any holidays or special events. Come up with a focus for each day. Example: Marketing Monday, Techie Tuesday, Wisdom Wednesday, etc.
- Make sure to incorporate your blog post throughout your social media posts.
- Create graphics using canva or video using Dumme and CapCut.
- Go back to Jasper, use a dynamic template to write your captions. Be sure to tell it exactly what to do.
Example: Write 5 social media captions on (insert topic here)
- Add emojis and hashtags to your posts. You can tell Jasper to do this but I recommend doing hashtag research right in the platform you will be posting to.
- Go back to SEMrush and schedule your content for the month using their social poster tool.

However, remember that content creation is not a one-time thing. You need to update your website regularly with fresh ideas to keep up with the ever-changing web landscape and stay ahead of your competition. Be sure to also post consistently so Google recognizes you as a thought leader in your space and keeps checking your website for new information. The more consistent you are, the better chances you have to rank. Keep track of your SEO’s performance using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console to ensure that your SEO strategy is on track.
