Moving Forward With Effective Internet Marketing in the New Year

As 2012 glides to a close, I’ve taken a look back at the past year and I must say I consider myself very lucky. I’ve been in the internet marketing business for over a decade, and I still have the same passion and enthusiasm for helping clients move to the first page of Google rankings that I did in when I started out. (And I know a lot more about it, too!)

This year has brought about many changes for me, including devoting a lot more time to my main passion—speaking in front of groups and conferences about internet marketing. I thought I’d take some time to tell you all about what I’ve been doing and what I’m moving forward with for 2013.

In the works for the new year are a new website, a new book, (more on that soon!) and a new Findability University, where marketers and business owners will be able to learn different aspects of search marketing, do-it-yourself style, via a series of videos and matching handouts. There will even be a Findability Certification available, for those who might want to start a career in SEO.

I’m also doing a lot of SEO and SEM coaching with businesses of all sizes. In case you’re wondering what that entails, let me lay out the bare bones of it for you. Keep in mind, everything I do is specifically tailored to the needs, challenges and specific goals of the company I’m working with.

  1. Findability Audit – Everything starts with a business filling out a short survey. This lets me “get under the hood” and find out what’s going on with your company’s website, and any other online marketing campaigns you are currently running. It is a vital first step in my process, allowing me to learn more about your business, and see where any changes in strategy need to be made.
  2. Customized Plan – Based on the results of the audit, a customized plan is created. This plan could have more to do with search engine optimization of your website’s content and keyword research, or it could be a social media marketing plan with well thought out goals, specific steps toward those goals, and methods of measuring if the goals have been reached.
  3. Options for Implementation – Depending on your business’s needs, size, budget, and goals, there are various options at this point. You can work with me one-on-one for a series of sessions, in your offices or mine. You can decide to hire my team to implement the customized plan for you. Or I can train your internal team, marketing department, or webmaster how to implement it themselves.

What are your business goals for 2013? Are you ready to finally conquer internet marketing with a PPC campaign? Will you get the SEO right on your website at last, and see your business on Page One of a Google search? Are you up for social media domination, or perhaps a foray into the latest and hottest thing, mobile marketing?

I’d love to help! Please contact my office with any questions…

Warm Regards,

Heather is the acclaimed speaker, trainer, and consultant who literally wrote the book on search engine marketing. Two books, in fact—The Findability Formula: The Easy, Non-Technical Approach to Search Engine Marketing and Thumbonomics: The Essential Business Roadmap for Social Media & Mobile Marketing. Her writing and in-demand keynotes are delivered with the same witty, “no-geek-speak” style that has managed to demystify internet marketing for countless business owners. Breaking free of corporate “cubicle” jobs over ten years ago with nothing more than a dream of entrepreneurship and a computer in the basement, Heather built her business, The Findability Group, into a multimillion dollar company. Today she leads a dedicated and slightly obsessed team of search marketing pros—their mission—to connect clients with their perfect customers online.
