In this time when everyone is running their businesses from home, the internet is becoming for some people a lifeline and the only way to reach their customers, the best way to do this is to write a blog, Now I know if you are like me you don’t like writing blogs, but it is the nature of the beast so to speak.
Wouldn’t it be nice to know when we can post content that people actually see? Well, there is a formula as to when you post and how you post and I am going to cover that in this blog.
Let’s face it when it comes to publishing content, there is no magic potion or is there? You need to publish your blog at the optimum time, it could make all the difference. I love reading other people’s blogs, it always amazes me how people can connect with others just by writing content that is relevant and needed.
It is also very important to share your content over all your social media outlets, from Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook how do you find the optimum time to publish a blog to reach the maximum amount of viewers you want to.
Tuesday and Thursday seem to be the best days to put out a blog, and the times depend but the rule of thumb is for the blog to go out first thing in the morning as that is when the average person is online and reading and surfing the internet, Monday’s following the weekend your inbox is full, mine always is.
It is important to know that you pick a time to blog you need to make sure you blog at the same time every week as your followers will get used to (trained) to see what you post and they need that continuity. Also, make sure you send your blog as an email as well, you get double the exposure and just publishing a blog every week at the same time people will get used to seeing an email from you at the same time as well, which is an important aspect to content marketing,
I like to put out a blog every Tuesday at 10:00 am, for me, it seems to be the optimum time for my target audience to be online and looking for my blog. I am in Mountain Time so I schedule my blogs to go out at 10:00 am ET, which is 8:00 am my time.
Now you may ask why Tuesday? Why not Monday, let’s face it most folks me included come into the office and we are inundated with email after email and our inboxes are overrun and overflowing, to be honest, you don’t have time to read a blog, at least I know I don’t.
Now once I get the blog wrote and get ready to share it out over Social media I also go into Mailchimp and do a quick newsletter, with teasers to the blog and a link pointing to the actual blog page which ideally is on your website, do that on all your social media, go create a nice image that is relevant and then post the link to the actual blog post. Google loves a good blog and make sure to use the keywords you want to be ranked and found for, this is where you can make or break the views of your blog, make sure to use tools to help you, Keywordseverywhere.com is a good tool to help you make sure you are using the keywords that people are searching for, there are many tools out there that will help you.
You can also use Google to see what people search for, and people also ask, if you know you can answer those questions, then you are on your way to creating a blog that people will want to read as it pertains to what is important to them or as I call it their pain point. And how you can answer their questions. Thus making you a thought leader in your field.
If you follow these steps I can guarantee you that you will be seen as a thought leader and well on your way to growing your business, until next week, stay safe and take care.
